One of the 5 P’s of Life is “Profession” – your work, whether you work for someone or are self-employed. If you’re not satisfied with your work life, then take control and make changes. Set goals for this aspect of life by stretching your skills and expanding your network. Every Wednesday, we offer tips via Twitter to help you with your work life. Below are tips we tweeted last month.
When updating your resume, use white space for easy reading and stick to facts with numbers to prove your point.
When working on multiple projects, prioritize your focus on one task at a time instead of juggling between projects.
If your boss doesn’t have email boundaries (i.e., sending you emails during holidays), manage the situation by responding professionally but letting them know you’ll respond in detail at a later time.
A job isn’t for better or for worse like a marriage – yes, you’ll have some difficult times the longer you’re with an employer but as long as you can grow professionally or maintain your contentment hang in there.
