Have you read “Want To Have More Fun? Go On a Mission” by Gretchen Rubin? Gretchen writes about spending a day finding unique collectibles to have fun.
But what if you don’t have a day to spare? … Or any time really? …. What do you do?
…. consider sprinkling your day with moments of fun.
Like a lawn sprinkler that sprinkles water on lawn for a moment in time, your sprinkler can sprinkle fun acts throughout your day.
Why do we need fun in life? Maybe it’s for the smile, for a laugh, for that fraction of time when nothing else matters other than that feeling of joy. Fun can be a way to minimize stress which is always a good thing.
So how can you sprinkle your day with fun? Here are some ideas:
1. Say a tongue twister. Click here for some examples.
2. Make a silly face.
3. Hula hoop (if you don’t have a hula hoop, then pretend).
4. Turn up a favorite song and dance like no one’s watching.
5. Relive in your mind the last time you really laughed out loud.
Notice our list stays away from spending money and consuming calories. What else would you add? What makes you smile? What makes you laugh?
By adding sprinkles of fun throughout your day, you’ll achieve more fun in life … and less stress.
